Don’t have a boat? Walk over to the marina, where you can rent a pontoon for your boating pleasure! Fuel your boat from the water’s edge pump at the station across the harbor or at the marina. Enjoy the view and gentle lake breezes from the screened-in front porch, overlooking the quiet harbor and the long yard leading down to your pier. After a day on the lake, relax here on the porch with comfy furniture and porch swing. Or build a campfire in the pit. Gather around the calming embers as you tell tales about the “one that got away”, or take in all the night stars (too many to count), or roast marshmallows and make s’mores, or just listen to the quiet lapping of waves against the shore. Other nearby area attractions include wildlife refuges, state and county parks, developed county ATV trails, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking, championship golfing, over 270 miles of connected snowmobile trails, and cross-country skiing. Take a day drive to other tourist attractions such as the House on the Rock, National Register Sites, Frank Lloyd Wright Homes and Studio, Elroy Bike Trails, and downhill skiing.
